Access Muskingum
Working with the community to improve access for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
Mission
We work toward a Deaf community in Muskingum County that has equitable access to local support, resources, and opportunities.
Working Together for Access
Access to communication provides an environment in which everyone can fully engage. The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Safety Office (OTSO), Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), and statewide law enforcement partners have developed a communication card to support communication between law enforcement and people who are deaf/hard of hearing. Download card by clicking on the card icon.
To support first responders in an emergency situation, you can be included on the resident database. Simply provide your information and preferred communication mode. To be included in the database, click here.
